Al Bacosa– Al was a 4 year varsity letterman at Fremont High School. In 1984 Al was named co-player of the year in the De Anza Athletic League. Al played 4 years (1986-1989) at San Jose State University where he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves (1989). He has over 25 years of high school and travel baseball coaching experience and won 2 CCS titles as a pitching coach (1999 & 2006). Al is the Varsity pitching coach at Bellarmine and will be coaching in the summer and fall.
Ben Martin– Ben comes to College Park with a great deal of coaching experience. He has been a head coach since 2005 for all ages and has had a great deal of success during that time. As the Program Director and Co-Founder of All Star Academy he has worked with numerous players that have gone on to play at the collegiate level and beyond. He is also widely considered one of the best hitting instructors in the Bay Area.
Ben played center field locally at Pioneer High School and Mission College before transferring to San Diego State (Kinesiology). He has also worked as a personal trainer, sports trainer, elementary school P.E. teacher and coached at the high school level at both Pioneer and Los Gatos HS. Ben is Coach of the Knights 14u team.
Kevin Hashimoto– Kevin was a 4 year letterman at Saint Lawrence Academy. He attended the University of Mary (ND) to play baseball for the NCAA Division II Marauders. After graduation, Kevin started his coaching career at Shiloh Christian High School (ND), Leigh High School, and was most recently head varsity coach at Saint Lawrence Academy (Santa Clara, CA). Kevin is currently helping as a roving instructor.
Will Sparks- Will is currently Head Coach of the 12u Knights. He attended on the University of Washington on a baseball scholarship.
Scott Canha- Scott Canha is the younger brother of professional baseball player Mark Canha, Scott has been coaching baseball for the past 4 years 2 with Shandon high school as the varsity head coach and the past 2 have been with college park. He enjoys dedicating his time towards the development of young athletes, teaching them the skills to be a great teammate in all aspects of life. Scott is an assistant coach for 12u.
Conner Jauch- Conner played 3 years of varsity baseball at Bellarmine, earning a scholarship to play at USD for 4 years. His specialty is hitting, infield and outfield instruction. He is currently head coach of 13u Maroon.
Conner Hatfield- Conner played 4 years of baseball at Bellarmine, earning all WCAL honors as a senior. His specialty is infielding and hitting instruction. Currently Conner is head coach of the 13u Knights.
Johnny Marciano– Johnny played 4 years at Bellarmine and was a 2 year letter winner as a catcher. He then went on to play 4 years at Whittier College. After graduating, Johnny began coaching travel ball teams in the Bay Area and specializes in catching instruction. Johnny is a coach for the 13u Knights.
Michael Rodriguez (President and Founder)- Mike played at the College of San Mateo before finishing at Sonoma State University, being named to the all-league team. Mike has coached high school, junior college, collegiate summer leagues as well as the Division 1 level over the course of 17 years of coaching. Mike started coaching at Bellarmine contributing to the WCAL and CCS Championship in 1999 and then WCAL championship again in 2000. Mike then went on as an assistant at College of San Mateo where the Bulldogs went to the California JUCO Final Four in 2002. The next step for Mike was coaching in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Brewster Whitecaps before moving on to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mike quickly became the recruiting coordinator for UNCG before taking the manager position with the Alexandria Beetles of the Northwoods League. Mike then returned to California spending 1 year as the JV coach at Bellarmine before taking over as the Varsity head coach where he has been since 2009.
Nate Sutton – (Chief Executive Officer) Nate played on the 1999 CCS championship team at Bellarmine (1997-2000) that Mike and Al coached where he was a 3 year varsity letterman. Nate then moved on to UC Santa Barbara(2001-2004) and was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels (24th rd 2004). Some of Nate’s highlights over his 7 years (2004-2010) in the Angels organization include- 2008 Angels minor league defensive player of the year, 2009 Double A all-star, and 3 time major league camp invitee. Nate has been coaching at Bellarmine since 2013 where he spent 1 year as JV head coach and has been an assistant on varsity the past 5 years. Nate has coached youth travel baseball for 7 years.
Brian Vieira – (Chief Operating Officer) Brian was a member of the USC Trojan national championship team in 1998 before getting into coaching. Brian began coaching in 2008 as a varsity assistant coach at Bellarmine College Prep and continued through 2018. Brian will be the Head Coach at Willow Glen High School in 2019. In addition to coaching at the high school level, Brian has coached youth travel teams for the past 6 years.
